Me in a Nutshell
Characters full name: St. John Allerdyce
Nicknames: Pyro, firebug
Age & birthdate: 17, December 25th
Gender: Male
Affiliation: X-men
Sexuality: bisexual
Face Claim: Aaron Stanford
How I look Now
Hair: Pyro's hair is dark brown, with several honey-blonde highlights streaming through each strand and long enough that it needs to be gelled back out of his face so nothing comes between his beloved flame and his line of vision.
Eyes: Even though John has rather wide eyes, its still quite difficult to tell their colour. Look close enough, and you'll notice they're green, however at a distance they appear to be brown.
Look Description: He is, at 5' 71⁄2" (1.71 m), quite short in height compared to the towering figures of some of the other X-Men, but he measures up quite well with his fiery persona.
It just Happened: Aside from the constant irritating 'clink' of his lighter, whenever nervous, or irritated himself, a distinct pout always forms on John's lips, which are quite prominent, and by far is most defining feature.
More in Depth?
Personality: Pyro is a pretty cocky, self confident guy. He doesen't like to play by the rules (too much) and has a rebellious streak that tends to get him into trouble. He's also quite easy to provoke, or more precise, he likes being provoked because it gives him the chance to return the favor. St. John can be very impulsive, sometimes even reckless.
And he definitely enjoys using his powers and sometimes wishes he had more freedom to do so. He loves to see things burn and thinks of himself as a pretty hot guy in general. He's also very (maybe overly) self confident when it comes to girls (or guys). That he's a reasonably good-looking guy usually helps.
But there is another, kinder and gentler side to him as well if someone manages to win his trust. That is not so easy, though, which often times make him appear a bit arrogant. Because of a difficult childhood, he's not exactly a people's person and it takes a bit of time to make him open up. It's possible, though, as his roommate at Xavier's school found out after a while. Bobby Drake is probably the closest friend St. John ever had.

What I can Do and Can't
Powers: Pyro has the psionic ability to manipulate fire. He can shape it as he wishes, he can also change its heat, intensity and size. But he cannot create it which makes him essentially powerless if there is no source of fire nearby. Consequently he never leaves home without several lighters and is seriously thinking of getting a flamethrower. With a lot of concentration Pyro is even able to create a kind of animated flame beings that can grasp or carry solid objects but such a thing usually leaves him pretty exhausted. Generally he needs a lot of concentration to wield big fires and he’s definitely in need of some training to become really good at it.
Weaknesses: Quite obviously, ice and water might be a problem. Also, Pyro is not entirely immune to fire. He can be harmed by flames that he does not mentally control and he must see a flame to be able to control it. Also, there are limits to the distance between him and a fire he wants to control. If it's too far away, he can't do anything with it.
What Happened to Me
Not only that he was born on Christmas Day, Pyro also got two very religious parents who named him St. John. He always suspected them to have timed his conception so he’d be coming exactly on December 25th but they claimed that it was God’s will. The first opportunity he had he escaped from his hated home full of rules and annoying religious rituals. He fled to Sydney and learned to live on his own, mostly on the streets. Which got considerably easier when suddenly, at 15, his powers emerged. After that it was always easy to part people with their money or other things that Pyro could use.
In the beginning, of course, he had hardly any control over the flames and burned many things before he got better. First he thought that his inexperience was the reason he could only manipulate fire but not create it. To his disappointment he later learned that creation of fire was really not in his power.
Naturally his robberies went not unnoticed. Authorities were always looking for him but never had a chance if they actually managed to find him. Then, with barely 16, there was this American businesswoman who really fell for him (after he tried to rob her) and invited him to come live with her in New York. Pyro accepted, enjoyed the rich lifestyle (they even flew first class!) for a few weeks and bolted at the first opportunity (not without taking some money along). He then began to continue a similar life like he had in Sydney.
Little did he know that some powerful mutants had started to watch him and decided to help him to a different kind of life. One day in Central Park, when he was just looking for a new victim to scare with his flames to get some cash, he was approached by two guys who identified themselves as fellow mutants. They invited him to join a place called Xavier's school for the gifted. He reluctantly did so. But one of the guys, Bobby Drake aka Iceman, soon became his best friend and a good motivation to stay.
The fact that Bobby started to develop feelings for another student, Rogue, put a bit of a strain on their relationship, though. And then, one night, the mansion got attacked by government forces, led by Colonel William Stryker. The three youths managed to escape and fled to Boston where Bobby's parents lived. But they couldn't stay there for long because when Bobby revealed to his family that they were mutants, his little brother Ronnie called the police and they had to fight their way out to escape.

This is from another board, I hope that is okay:
He kissed his lips tenderly. Then he smiled at him. Well, only his picture, though, but that was a start, was it? With his hands he caressed the delicate Asian features on the glossy paper that he had ripped out of a magazine, the beautiful face of the monarch, King Morpheus the First, ruler of the world. The best, most just, most wonderful leader the planet had ever known. The love of his life. Morpheus didn't know it yet but he would. Oh yes, he would.
St. John Allerdyce looked up to the wall where other pictures of his beloved were hanging. Many, many of them actually. Morpheus smiling, talking, frowning. He had been collecting the pictures for months and was intensely proud of them. They were so many that the walls of his room were barely enough to hang them all. He had to start to use the wall in his bathroom too but only for the less important ones. Those eyes, the smile... just seeing it, made him happy.
Carefully he placed this newest photograph of the supreme leader next to his bed, replacing another picture that he liked less and probably would end up putting in the bathroom. What an honor it would be to actually touch him in person, to offer him his services to submit himself to his every whim. Because this is what he would do when he would meet him. Soon. The most wise and most gentle emperor would make an appearance in public, at least that's what the media had been saying. And he would be there, ready for anything as long as he could be close to his idol.
If St. John had any friends, they might have told him that he had an unhealthy obsession, one, in addition, that had come rather sudden as had this brave new world. But Pyro was not aware of any friends or another reality. This was his life and it was great. As long as Morpheus was in it. He looked into his eyes, smiling. And it seemed to him that the young monarch smiled back, just for him.
